What is FMAPS and why does it matter?

FMAPS means Fellow of the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs. This advanced training focuses on the biomedical and functional care of children with autism, PANS/PANDAS, developmental delays, and related challenges. It grew out of the original DAN! biomedical work.

What is the "second brain"?

2

The second brain refers to the enteric nervous system in the gut. It communicates closely with the brain. Supporting gut health can influence mood, regulation, focus, and overall comfort.

Why is the practice kept small?

3

Children with complex needs require careful attention. Keeping a limited patient roster allows for real one-to-one connection and responsive care.
